Abdul Shakur Adam is the Partner in charge of Internal Audit & Reviews. He has over 8 years’ experience in Auditing, Finance, Accounting, Treasury & Risk Management, Internal Reviews, Due Diligence Audit and Compliance.  Shakur as he is popularly called has Post-Chartered Diploma in Treasury and Financial Risk Management specializing in Working Capital Management, Financial Risk Management, Financial Modelling and Corporate Treasury.

Besides his role at KAN Chartered Accountants, Shakur is an Assistant Manager at the Audit, Compliance and Risk Management department of Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL). He previously worked with Servair Ghana limited an airline catering company as Finance Officer.

Abdul Shakur is a Chartered Accountant by profession and holds a Bachelor of Commerce and MBA (Finance) as first and second degrees respectively from the University of Cape Coast. He has led and participated in Audit of key Functional Areas and made recommendations which have contributed significantly in cost savings, improvement in controls and the realization of value for money.

Abdul Shakur is the Chairman of the Assurance Committee of GACL Staff Credit Union.

He served as Member and Secretary to the Adhoc Committee that developed GACL’s Risk Management Policy, Risk Management Charter and Risk Register in 2021.

He is a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA – Global), member Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA-Ghana), member Association of Airports Internal Auditors (USA) and member Institute of Chartered Accountants (Ghana).

Shakur is very proficient in the use of Microsoft office, Audit & other Accounting software such as  IDEA Audit, Tally, QuickBooks, Ebizframe, and Topaz.
